What does Sawadee Ka mean?

Sawadee Ka translates from Thai as “Hello/Welcome or Bye” typically from a female (the correct spelling is Sawasdee Ka, however when you pronounce it in English, the S after the A becomes silent).

Located in the heart of West End (within walking distance from Southbank), Sawadee Ka Thai Restaurant prides itself on warm hospitality and above all flavoursome Fine Thai Cuisine! Our vegetables are hand picked from the farmers markets each week and we only buy the best quality local meat.

Sawadee Ka has a good quality listing of wine and beer, which are both reasonably priced and have been chosen to compliment our Thai cuisine. Download our menus below.

Sawadee Ka, is fully licensed and we are proud of the quality and range that we offer our customers when it comes to a nice drop! We have endeavored to select wine, beer and other beverages that compliment Thai cuisine.
If you would like to bring in that special bottle of wine, we charge a $2.50 per person corkage.

Please note that our ‘bring your own’ policy extends to wine only.
